The Students of S3 ECE visited O/E/N India, Limited cochin On 17/10/2015. They were accompanied by Asst. prof Alex Mathew and Asst. Prof. Megha Peter.
The Students of S5 ECE visited F.M.Station AIR Kochi On 12/10/2015. They were accompanied by Asst. prof Abhilash AP, Asst. Prof. Nitheesh Kurian & Asst. Prof. Binsa Mathew.
Department of Electronics & Communication of “Holy Kings College of Engineering and Technology” organized a one day workshop on “Embedded Systems” on 08/10/2015 from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The session was handled by Sri. S.Thomas, CEO Digital Core Technologies Pvt. Ltd. The programme was coordinated by Asst. Prof Abhilash A P and Asst. Prof Neethu Mohan.
A Technical talk on SONAR was conducted by Department of ECE on 30/09/2015 under the guidance of Asst.Prof Binsa Mathew. The chief guest of the programme was Prof. M. Mathurakani who was former DRDO scientist and who is currently working as Professor in ECE Dept of Toc H Institute of Science and Technology .
PTA or Parent-Teacher Association plays a crucial role in the academic life of a Student. This triangular relationship between Student, Teacher, and Parent should always go hand in hand, with each elder member being well acquainted with the progress and conduct of the youngest. PTA meeting for Students of Electronics and Communication department was conducted on the following dates
- S7 ECE - 26/09/2015
- S5 ECE - 26/09/2015
- S3 ECE - 23/10/2015
- S1 ECE - 18/10/2015
The students performance were assessed and corresponding remedial actions were taken.
A group of 45 Students of S5 ECE and teaching Staffs namely Asst.Prof Abhilash A P, Asst.Prof Nitheesh Kurian and Asst.Prof Anupriya visited Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum and KSIC Mysore on 19/09/2015 and 20/09/2015 as part of Educational Tour for the year 2015-16.
A group of 48 Students (2012-16 batch, S6 ECE) and 2 teaching Staffs visited Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (bangalore), BSNL (Mysore), and Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum on 22/01/2015 and 23/01/2015 as part of Educational Tour .
Educational tour is an inseparable part of Academic journey. ECE Department of Holy Kings College of Engineering and Technology conducts educational tour periodically, so that the Students may get a practical picture of the theoretical things being studied. Our first batch i.e 2011 Batch went educational tour to various industries within TBI. It included Infinite open source solutions LLP, Embed Techlabz, Global Innovative Technologies etc. Our 2012 batch went educational tour to Pallivasal , and similarly our 2013 batch went to Devikulam FM station. The Students are assisted by One or more Gent Staff and Lady Staffs from the Department
ISF or IETE Students Forum Conducts various talks and other programs to synchronize their steps with the new technologies and innovations incurred daily. As part of the same ISF arranged an highly informative, enthusiastic & energyful talk on “Evolution of Cellular Networks” . It was delivered by honourable Chief Guest Mr.Suresh Narayanan the Circle network Head, Reliance Communication.
The growth incurred in the Electronic world is tremendous. In order to keep up the pace with the faster growing electronic world, various “Faculty Development program (FDP)” are conducted periodically to shed enough light on the current & latest innovations of the field. The Programme aims at enhancing the academic and intellectual environment in the Institutions by providing faculty members with enough opportunities to participate in seminars / conferences / workshops etc. Participation in such programs would enable faculty members to update their research and pedagogical skills. The Electronics and Communication Department, Association activities for the year 2014-15 was Inaugurated on 10/10/2014 at 9.15 am by honourable Chief Guest Dr. APREM .T.J , Head RF Systems Division, VSSC-ISRO .The Inauguration was followed by a highly informative talk on "Mangalyaan" by the him.

Symphonia 2017The College Arts Fest Symphonia –2017 was Inaugurated by famous stand up comedian, Mr. Ramesh Pisharody. The College arts fest has been hosted on 25th March 2017.
Women's Day 2017As part of women’s day celebration at the college, a self defence programme was conducted. It was inaugurated by Smt. Usha A S, SI Women cell, Aluva.
Annual Athletic Meet - 2017The college Annual Athletic Meet 2016-17 was inaugurated by Dr. Binu George Vargheese (Director, Physical education, MG university) on 1st April, 2017.
